Dr. Hoop is one of those rare dentists who, in spite of his 20 plus years of experience, continues to take scads of postgraduate training so his patients get the best care available. His friendly, “instantly put you at ease” personality makes you comfortable right from the start. If you live in or around Fort Myers or North Naples Florida, this is the place to go for your dental care.

Having known Dr. Hoop has been a blessing for me personally. As a young dentist, I’ve had the good fortune of having him as a mentor and friend. He has always been able to answer my different questions and give me predictable solutions. Anyone would be wise to have Dr. Hoop as his/her dentist. He has mastered the difficult problems. He and his caring staff make for a winning combination. You can rest assured that Dr. Hoop and his staff provide the kind of dentistry that keeps his patients teeth for a lifetime.

I was referred to Dr. Hoop by a dear friend that was even more fearful then I about going to the dentist. She highly recommended Dr. Hoop. Many of my dental experiences prior to Dr. Hoop have been ghastly. I’ve gone to dentists that were impatient and some with tempers. These are not qualities most of us look for in a dentist.
Pain or discomfort had always been a factor if “work” was to be done. And I needed a lot of dental work.
The office staff has always been very friendly and helpful with convenient appointment times. The hygienists are perfectionists, teeth look and feel great when they are finished. Dr. Hoop has taken care of all my dental needs with the utmost of sensitivity to my fears. My teeth and gums are so much healthier because of his “care”. He has put the confidence back in my smile.
Thank you to Dr. Hoop, thank you to my friend Missy for the referral.

Upon my retirement in 2005, my wife Pam and I moved to Pine Island. As with every relocation, we then had to go through the uncomfortable process of finding health care professionals that we were going to be comfortable with. My earliest dental care memories date back to grammar school and to dentists on a military base where my father was stationed. Pain and fear make up a big part of those early memories. During my adult years, I learned to tolerate dental care & ignore discomfort, but I often seemed to find it convenient to put off dental visits due to work schedule issues, etc. I also received some less-than-adequate dental care during those years, which helped to support my procrastination.
Shortly after we moved here, a new friend of ours, who had a similar history with dentists, mentioned that he had found a really great one here who was providing him with essentially painless service. As I recall, his comments were more about comfort with a dentist than about the quality of work provided, but I certainly figured this dentist couldn’t be any worse than what I’d already had experience with elsewhere.
So, my wife and I met Dr. Hoop and his staff and we entered into what has become a very satisfying relationship for us. Doctor Hoop developed a dental plan for each of us that would correct some less-than-satisfactory previous work, etc. and would allow us to avoid the dreaded “false teeth” syndrome. He also effectively provided cost estimates that allowed us to make our treatment choices wisely.
The dental work that Dr. Hoop has done for me includes bridgework, several dental implants (upper and lower), and replacing old fillings. His attention to detail, the quality of his work, his ability to do even the most intricate and involved procedures with essentially no pain, and his full explanations of what he’s undertaking & what the various treatment options may be are extraordinary. His staff is also first-rate and it’s a real pleasure dealing with them all.
Dental care is expensive, but the ability to continue an active life with your own teeth makes these costs (and the ability to savor a good steak) palatable. I thank Dr. Hoop for his fine work, and I would enthusiastically recommend his services to anyone.

After moving to North Naples, Dr. Hoop was recommended to us by one of our neighbors. The fact that he does both general dentistry and periodontics was very important to me. I have had both general dental and periodontal(specialty) work done(with Dr. Hoop) as well as Zoom whitening.
Dr. Hoop and his staff are very professional and truly care about everyone who comes in the door-for whatever they are having done. They always follow up with a phone call after a procedure-something none of my previous dentists did!
I recently had a crown done on one of my front teeth. I could not be happier-it’s perfect! Both my husband and I highly recommend doctor Hoop-to everyone we know looking for great dentist, with a great staff. We wouldn’t go to anyone else.

Due to excess wear and tear on my 6 upper front teeth, it became necessary to crown said teeth. Vi, Dr. Hoop’s asst., had been monitoring this situation and it became apparent that we could no longer wait. I was very apprehensive sue to too many factors i.e. pain, cost, time element and cosmetics.
I was fortunate, however, that I found Dr. Hoop and his staff. Since time was of the essence, Dr. Hoop immediately set me up with the initial dental physical. When that was completed, we were ready to move, rather quickly, into the first step of the procedure. We had a lengthy discussion of exactly what I was looking to accomplish. Dr. Hoop encouraged me to ask any questions, no matter how inane and answered them fully. He always gave me the best and worst case scenario so that my expectations were feasible.
I picked out the shape, color and size of my crowns with the help of Dr. Hoop, making sure my age, facial structure, etc. were the best fit for me. Because I had time issues, Dr. Hoop and his staff jumbled around appointments and were able to arrange the initial appt. within days. Kim, the receptionist, worked tirelessly with my insurance company to get the optimal coverage.
I was very nervous about the procedure itself, but with Dr. Hoop’s gentle chair side manner, and his assistant, Joanie’s cheerful nurturing nature, made a long procedure almost pleasant. The pain I was anticipating never happened. I left that afternoon with all of my temporary crowns, which were beautiful. I never expected the temporaries to look so natural.
Within weeks, my permanent crowns were cemented and I now have the smile I had in my youth, only better!
This entire experience exceeded my expectation in every way. I’m still in awe over how easy and painless the whole procedure was.
I cannot thank Dr. Hoop and his lovely staff enough for making my smile beautiful again.- Lois S. Steckman
Arriving in North Naples, my new home, in late 2003, I knew that I would need to find a good dentist. Having had some very bad dental work during my life, and later some very good work, I knew the difference. I also knew that, having had serious periodontal work, root canals, a bridge and implants, I wanted a sharp, experienced dental expert. By sheer luck, I found one. I can’t remember if I had a friend’s recommendation or read an advertisement. It doesn’t matter now. I have the right guy, and he is George Hoop.
I am constantly, positively impressed by so many aspects of Dr. Hoop and his practice:
-his careful, thorough examinations, discussions and alternative treatments he suggests.
-his open, honest, advanced presentation of costs for those alternatives.
-his remarkably extensive professional training.
-the breadth of his experience.
-his excellent work and ability to make me comfortable no matter how complex the work is.
His entire staff-assistants, hygienists, and receptionists who are all:
-knowledgeable in their work areas,His facility, with its:
-up-to-date equipment and materials
-comfortable waiting area (which I rarely use because Dr. Hoop and his staff are unfailingly punctual)
-and pleasant atmosphere.
I have recommended George Hoop to friends who, when they avail themselves of his services, are delighted. In short, George is my guy for dental work, and I freely recommend his services to anyone who wants excellent dental care.

I first came to Dr. Hoop after an accident that did some serious damage to my front four teeth. They kept the office open beyond normal business hours to attend to my injuries. Right away, I knew I was dealing with very caring and talented people. Over the last three years, my wife and I have come to appreciate that Dr. Hoop and his staff has given us the best dental care we’ve ever had. Dr. Hoop is exceptionally competent, personally engaging and genuinely committed to providing the best patient care possible and he delivers on that commitment.
He takes the time to clearly explain what issues he has found, the probable causes and all treatment options, both short-term and long-term. He will make sure you understand the cost implications so you can make an informed decision on your treatment plan.
The whole environment at Dr. Hoop’s office is very positive. His staff is well trained, dedicated and confident that they are providing dental care that is first rate.
Since we started going to him, my wife and I have recommended Dr. Hoop to 7 different people. They all went to him and without exception, called us to thank us. In every instance they were delighted and relieved to find the level of dental care that they are getting from Dr. Hoop. Ultimately, there is no better endorsement than that.

Early in my 30s, I started to experience periodontal disease. Over the next two decades, I lost several key and eventually was faced with the decision of implants or dentures
After some research, I found Dr. George Hoop. His explanation of my condition was practical, thorough, and easily understood. He made me aware of the economic impact of implants versus dentures. More important, was the awareness of the everyday instability of dentures versus implants.
After doing considerable research with people who had been faced with the same dilemma, I chose to have 5 implants done on my lower jaw. I cannot tell you how happy I am with that decision. It has now been five years since I had the implant procedure. I am getting along extremely well and I am thankful each day that I do not have to deal with dentures. Implants have definitely been a very pleasant permanent solution for my lifestyle.
I travel each week. Dr Hoop’s office has been very accommodating to my schedule. I have appreciated their willingness to fit me into their schedule as times come available.

I am writing to thank you, Joni, Kim and your entire staff for the excellent treatment and service I received during my recent complete teeth/bite restoration project. You and your staff completely exceeded my expectations every step of the way and the result of the restoration is truly remarkable.
As you know, this process started almost 6 years ago when we first met. From the start, you indicated that because of the condition of my teeth, that at some point I would need a major restoration. You never tried to sell me on the project other than to tell me that I would know when it was time to proceed. You were certainly correct. Over the past year as my teeth began to crack with regularity, it was clear that I needed to do something if I was going to save them, which as you know was my primary motivation. Cosmetics were never a major consideration for me, but now that I have my new teeth, I must admit that maybe it should have been-boy what a difference-I am ready for the movies!
While the project was certainly costly, it is easy to see why, based on the amount of time you and Joni had to spend with me, I am sure that there was much planning and logistical work behind the scenes in order to produce the end result…. and I have told my family that based on the amount of gold must be in my mouth now, they may want to melt down the new teeth once I can no longer use them!
Frankly, the biggest challenge was finding the time necessary to get the work done, and you and your staff worked very hard to accommodate my schedule. I was amazed that we were able to complete the whole project in less than four months. While one might not look forward to going to the dentist, I did not find the work to be particularly painful and listening to your and Joni stories, jokes and lunch plans made the time pass quickly! I also appreciated the fact that I was able to have all the work done in your office and did not need to run all over town to get it completed.
So, feel free to use me as a reference with patients contemplating this procedure or one like it. I will be more than happy to speak with them or even share my new smile with them if they want to see the results.

The main reason I chose Dr. Hoop as my dentist is that he is diversified and can take care of all my dental problems. He has performed general dentistry procedures (x-rays, cleaning, fillings, crowns), put in two implants and most recently, took care of my periodontal needs by performing surgery on my gums around my upper teeth. He also converted all 12 upper teeth to crowns-this took many months to complete and Dr. Hoop and his staff were wonderful. I took medicine when the major procedures were done to relax and I hardly remember being in his office. They are all very competent, kind and caring. When the temporary teeth were eventually replaced with the permanent crowns, I was very happy with the results. They looked great and I was able to select a lighter shade than my natural teeth. When I was due for my first quarterly cleaning and check up-after the crowns were completed, I was on an extended visit in New York so was unable to have Dr. Hoop take care of me. I decided to go to the NYU Dental School for this cleaning until I could get back to Dr. Hoop’s office for the next visit. A student takes care of the cleaning & exam and then a professor/senior dentist checks his work. When the professor saw my new crowns he was amazed at how beautiful they all looked and fit together and said whoever had taken care of me “really knew what he was doing.” I hope I eventually get back to Florida so I will never have to change dentists!

Many years ago I had to have my two front teeth capped due to an accident. For several years prior to going to Dr. Hoop I had dentists warning me that it was time to replace those caps. I was uncomfortable with my smile and I finally decided that if nothing else they would look better if they were replaced. At the same time I started to inquire about straightening a couple more teeth, capping a couple that were pointed and replacing all of the silver that I had accumulated through the years.
I got a quote from my current dentist and it was out of sight not to mention I was still uncomfortable about the extensive work involved. Then I decided to start asking around. It has been three years since I was referred to Dr. Hoop by a friend who had recently completed extensive dental work at his office and was very happy with the results she received.
From the first day I went to see Dr. Hoop he and his staff have always made me feel like I was more important to them than they were to me. He did not just do the things that I wanted done, he spent the time to discuss the pros and cons as well as alternatives. There was no high pressure and in fact he suggested that most of the work that I wanted done could wait or do not have to be done at all.
I wanted a comfortable smile and I finally convinced myself to go through with it. Dr. Hoop put together a plan with all of the procedures outlined at and a set price that I knew I could live with. Once he started the job he and his staff kept me on a schedule to complete all of the work very quickly. In the past three years I have not had any problems with the work Dr. Hoop performed.
Today I am more comfortable than ever with my teeth and my smile and I would never hesitate to refer a customer, friend or family member to Dr. Hoop’s office.

My first encounter with Dr. Hoop and his staff, goes back about 10 years. When I first moved to Florida, I went to a local dentist for a checkup and examination. Although I was not satisfied with this dentist, I continued to go to him as I did not know of another. I developed a problem with my gums and was recommended to Dr. Hoop for an evaluation and examination.
Doctor Hoop took the time to explain to me how to correct the existing condition, what it encountered to correct it, and the cost involved. I immediately was sold on Dr. Hoop and continued to visit his office on a regular basis through the years.
I have a three month maintenance program for general cleaning. The staff has been extremely helpful. After each cleaning and periodic x-rays, Dr. Hoop sits with his patients to determine if they have any questions or issues. I have been extremely satisfied with Dr. Hoop and his staff.
I have found his office to maintain a very pleasant atmosphere. I have recommended others to his office and they have also become regulars.
