When people are faced with a situation where they're going to lose most or al of their teeth, we sometimes have to look at full dentures. Full dentures are essentially when there's no teeth left to clip a partial denture to, there's no other treatment option, the teeth are not restorable, and all of them have to come out. Then we're typically looking at replacing them with a full set of dentures. Sometimes it's an upper only, sometimes it's a lower only. Oftentimes it's both an upper and lower as a set. A lot of people think that a denture is a denture and actually there's a lot of different options out there. Traditional dentures, there's no clips or attachments to the jaw. They basically balance on the arch of bone and gum and sometimes it's a good option for people, but for those people that can't get enough chewing capacity with a regular denture, we oftentimes add dental implants so that we can put clips and attachments in under the denture to hold it in place. That gives them better retention, that gives them better chewing capacity, and it gives them more stability.

Fill in Smile Gaps With Natural Solutions
Dr. Hoop uses lifelike materials to design teeth that perfectly match and even improve your smile. New dentures are often the best tooth replacement option for patients who are not dental implant candidates or those who want affordable teeth. If you’re one of the millions of Americans living without teeth, here are the types of dentures we’re using to enhance smiles.
- Traditional full dentures held in with a snug fit and/or adhesives
- Partial dentures that attach to adjacent teeth
- Temporary dentures while you wait for your final set
- Implant-supported dentures
Some patients can’t stand their removable dentures and want more stability in their teeth. Common complaints of removable dentures include inability to eat the foods they love and even shifting teeth. To resolve these issues, we also proudly offer implant retained dentures and Fountain of Youth™ dentures. These offer many advantages over other options because they:
- Fit and function better than traditional dentures.
- Helps prevent the “sunken-in” dentures look.
- Are designed to more closely re-create your natural teeth, which aids in oral function.
Stabilize Teeth With Dental Implants
Dental implants require oral surgery, but the treatment is extremely predictable, with about a 98 percent success rate. Dr. Hoop has placed dental implants for more than 25 years, and he stays on the cutting edge to increase patient comfort. We offer traditional implants and mini dental implants, which are ideal for patients who have significant jawbone recession and don’t want to undergo bone grafts.
We’re using revolutionary 3-D technology to map out the entire procedure so we can locate the most appropriate location for the implants. To make the treatment even more relaxing, our patients can take advantage of safe and comforting sedation dentistry.
The right tooth replacement option depends on your smile goals and budget. We’ll work with you to provide affordable payment options. Call us today at 239-734-7737 to book a consultation for dentures in Naples.
